Traumatic day at 32 weeks pregnant

32 weeks today and I hadn’t felt baby move all morning. This was very unusual as my baby is usually so active and the kicks are normally really strong that they don’t go unnoticed.

I was feeling very scared, nervous and so upset.

I called the labour ward for advice and they got me straight in, hooked me up to the monitor and as soon as I heard that heartbeat I burst out crying. It was the biggest relief I have ever felt. I am so glad my baby is ok.

Just wanted to share my story as if anyone feels reduced movements or haven’t felt their baby move please don’t wait and call your midwife or Labour ward straight away to be checked. Even if it is just for reassurance.

I was worried that I was going to be wasting their time but they reassured me that I absolutely did the right thing in going to get checked and never to feel like I am wasting anyone’s time.

So please please ladies if this happens to you don’t wait and get checked out straight away.
