Should I be concerned?
5 days before I found out I was expecting my husband and I went on a hike with some friends, we didn’t want to go but they convinced us. It was only a .7 of a mile hike so we though fine can’t take too long. Well this hike was basically a straight uphill climb a mountain side, I got light headed a few times and started to see stars. We didn’t have much water because we though it was a short easy hike. I realize my symptoms were the beginning of heat exhaustion, though it never got to heat stroke. Once we got to the car we blasted the ac and drank some cold water and cooled down fast. But then 5 days later I find out I’m pregnant and I realized I may have harmed my baby... could something like that actually cause damage that early? I’m just sick with worry. I’m so angry we went on that hike 😥 my biggest concern is just the rise in body temp as I was experiencing heat exhaustion and dehydration for a good 30 minutes.
