What’s therapy like, did it help you ?

Hey guys, I was just wondering for those who have gone or currently is going to therapy, did it help you guys over come certain issues such as anxiety, depression, anxiousness, low-self-esteem or anything that you have been holding in you for years that you where able to feel comfortable to open up with your therapist. What was it like ? Did it help you guys significantly? Considering to go into therapy soon I’m 19 years old and struggling with many things that has been going on in my life and in my head and I’m unable to open up to anyone cause I’m some what scared and uncomfortable to open up to anyone else what I’ve been going through.
