Sort of sad

As

Hi ladies, just kinda sad today. We had our second echo on baby girl. Her aorta has grown but there is still a narrowing that is indicative of the coarctation since it isn’t wide enough for her estimated weight. Her heart function otherwise looks good besides the VSD. I just found out that even when I get myself discharged to be at the children’s hospital NICU with her that I won’t be able to nurse her. She will automatically be put on a. Feeding tube to avoid another dangerous complication Id there is an issue with her blood flow to her stomach (caused by the coarctation). This is my last baby and my son never nursed after he was circumcised (no negative comments my husband and I made the choice we thought best for him) so I guess my heart was kind of set on being able to nurse her. I know there are lactation consultants, and I was supposed to meet with the hospitals between my echo and my next appointment, but it got cancelled and I got a pass for cafeteria instead...where I got pie to cheer up 🤣. Anyways, thanks for listening.
