What to say to family... if anything...?

I’m not 100% sure if I want to let family know that I’m finally in labor. My family will respect our wishes without being told but my Husbands family is a little more...”obnoxious” I’ll say. 
I’d like to at least clue them in that we are at the hospital but idk how to tell my husband to send out the group text to everyone.
Our families live 10 hours away and won’t be visiting so we don’t need to worry about random surprises.
I just wanna know if anyone had any ideas on what to say in the text when it happens... I just don’t know how to go about this. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I personally just wouldn’t tell them at all. You don’t want your hubby to be answering texts and phone calls while you are in labor.

Just be casual about it. Say something along the lines of ‘hey everybody just letting you all know that i (or wife) am in labour, we are not having any visitors while i am here and we will not accept anybody who come against our wishes, also the hospital is not allowing visitors either, apart from spouses’

You can have him send a text saying something along the lines of you having cramping, hoping it’s not a false alarm, and that he will keep everyone updated. That way they don’t get crazy on you for not filling them in on anything. Then you can wait until your baby is born and he can say “due to her pain level increasing we decided to get checked out, and good thing we did bc he’s here! Everyone meet BLANK” and he can attach a pic ... 
I’ve been thinking of something to say to our families as well. My husband and I like our privacy but I feel like some family members will never forgive us if we don’t tell them I’m going into labor and just spring his birth on them.

We didn’t tell anyone with my first until our daughter was born. With the exception of my mil who was coming down to help the first week. We shared with immediate family about an hour after she was born and anyone else after we were home. 
This one our friend watching our daughter will know and again my mil and everyone else will find out the same as last time. 
I don’t want/need texts and calls while in labor. so everyone else can wait.

i don’t plan on telling anyone except for the people taking my son while i go in as he’s not allowed to be with me. my plan is to call or text them to let them know he’s being dropped off as i’m in labour and then going with hubby to the hospital. labouring in peace and after a few hours of him being born sending a phone call or text just saying “he’s here”. i don’t talk to my mom , his side of the family is crazy and he doesn’t want them to know , my dad could care less and i just want the simplicity of not having to worry about the 20 thousand texts of people asking if he’s here or not while i’m trying to labour and give birth. i’ve let a handful of people know that when he’s born we will not be having visitors at the hospital , that i will set up a date for them to visit and the rules regarding that visit and that’s about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

What are you worried that they will do if they know and live so far away?

Why clue them in if you don’t want them to know? If you don’t have other children that you might need their help with I just wouldn’t say anything to them until after the birth or you want to.
