Haven’t posted in a long time but advice?

We switched my daughter to a big girl bed a month ago. She finally realized she could climb out. But she refuses to stay there all night and I have to take her back every hour or so. And I have to stay until she falls asleep. Any advice on things I can try to make her feel more comfortable and stay there? I put music on and she has her stuffed animals and we read.

Not sure if this will work for you but we do things like if he stays in bed he gets his door open, light projector on and music on and if he keeps getting up I say right if you get up again the light will go off. I am quite tough love though doesnt work for everyone I guess but he  only gets out of bed maybe once or twice but not every night:)

My pediatrician told me that I need to make sure my daughter’s room is 100% safe, then just leave her in her room for bed with the door closed. My ped said that my daughter may run around and play some (a video monitor is a godsend) but she’ll eventually fall asleep. My daughter does well, too, if I speak through the monitor and tell her to get back in bed or go to sleep. I only go in there if she’s upset or doing something that could hurt her or break something.

Maybe don’t stay with her till she falls asleep. My husband was laying with our daughter till she fell asleep and it caused issues the last month because she’d wake up and realize he wasn’t there. I had to put a stop to it haha now she just stays in her bed all night.

Have you heard of an “okay to wake” clock? You set the time they’re supposed to be in bed and if the light is red they have to stay in bed, but when it’s green they can get up.
