Miscarriage process?

Hi ladies. Was just told that my HCG levels dropped from 490 to 290. There is no way it will go up right? Miscarriage is inevitable? I was roughly 5-6 weeks. How long will it bleed? Will I get my period right after?

I’m not 100% sure if it’s inevitable or not but the bleeding really varies.
I had a miscarriage recently, took the medication to help it pass & bled for a little over a week.

I had a MMC and didn't find out until ( I thought) I was 10 weeks pregnant. From what they can see (just sack measuring) I maybe miscarried between 6-7 weeks. Took Misoprostol the next day and bled for a couple days, spotting here and there after for a couple of weeks. Had a doctors appointment 3 days after taking the pills, OB said all looked great and to wait 4-6 weeks for a period to show. 
Fast forward one month to the day, ended up in the ER due to blood loss from... Maybe a new period after my induced miscarriage? No one really knows. Due to the blood loss and my recent miscarriage, I had an abdominal and vaginal ultrasound and that STILL showed stuff in my uterus.
Go to my OB the next day, she does an ultrasound and yup, she still sees stuff... One exact month after I took the misoprostol and should have been over the miscarriage. 
1 in 10. I am that 1 in 10 person that doesn't have a complete miscarriage after taking misoprostol.
One month and five days after taking misoprostol I had to have a D&C... Which I was avoiding in the first place. 
The great news is, I had peak Ovulation exactly as predicted (logged D&C as period)  did the BD (not on purpose at all! It really just worked out that way), had my follow up appointment next day and confirmed I did indeed ovulate!!!! My OB showed me that my right ovary for sure released and all looked great!
So now I'm kind of on a TWW... But not really because I know there is NO chance I would get pregnant that fast.
I'm just greatful that I'm horny again 😂 the short time I was pregnant I was super sick and wanted nothing to do with sex.
