Buying a house advice

Ladies I need some more advice. For those of you that bought your house for the first time how much did you save did you find a advisor to help you prepare for a house did you only purchase based off your credit. What are the things you did to secure your first home. I'm currently living in a apartment with lamar and I'm done having panic attacks from fire alarms being pulled while I'm sleep and roaches passing through the hallways and dirty neighbors that don't throw away trash correctly and the list goes on. So I just need your help ideally how long did it take you or you and your s/o to save for your first 🏠
