I had gestational diabetes so I was induced at 39 weeks 3 days. After 16 hours of labor, 2 hours of pushing, my baby girl finally arrived. I developed chorioamnionitis because it took me 9 hours to get to 10cm after they broke my water at 5cm. I was running a fever and my daughter came out with the cord around her neck, not breathing, and a 102 degree fever. She was taken immediately after delivery to the NICU for antibiotics and I wasnt able to see her until my fever had been gone for 12 hours. It was really hard on me, but I'm thankful she was able to come home yesterday after 4 days in the NICU.
