Sleeping tips?

My little guy the past couple days has not been wanting to sleep without being right next to me🤦🏼‍♀️. He knows how to self soothe and he is just getting into his clingy mom stage. But say he falls asleep while I feed him and I put him in his crib asleep he start crying in his sleep because I’m not holding him or he’s not laying next to me. I even tried doing his usual wake him up and place him in his crib he cried for 2 hours straight y’all. (I do check on him periodically to make sure he’s okay. )And he did fall asleep but woke up again at midnight and by then i was too tired to deal and just brought him up to my room to sleep. Do I need to heat up a rice bag to replace me for the time being? Any tips are great! 😅 I haven’t gotten any sleep because I’m such a light sleeper and I keep on having to bring him in my bed just so I can get a couple hours of sleep without him crying 😴. I’m exhausted.
