Was it wrong for my now boyfriend to date me when I was 18 and he was 24 ? I didn’t see anything wrong with it but I was just thinking about it . I’m 20 now and he’s 27

I don’t think it’s weird at all. It just depends on where both of you were in your lives. Your age doesn’t define your maturity or life experience.

It’s like legally fine. But it’s still strange to me. You’re at very different stages in your life. Even at 22 I couldn’t date an 18 year old. I’m so wildly different and more mature than my 18 year old self. Because while you’re legally an adult, in lots of ways you’re still a kid. I also think about how it would suck to not be able to go out with your partner because they aren’t 21 (American perspective).

It depends... when I was 24 I had 2 kids and a full time job and mentally I was not comparable to an 18yo. I couldn't have dated one then. But if you guys are similar in jobs, school, lifestyle etc that's totally different and more acceptable...
