Irritation after sex

Ok so my boyfriend and I typically have very rough sex. Sometimes we don’t have much foreplay, but use a lot of lube.

Every time we’ve been doing this recently, for the next few days, I feel kinda off down there. It doesn’t exactly feel itchy, just very irritated. Sometimes swollen, sometimes a lil itchy.

Is this “normal”? I know we should stop doing that and increase the amount of foreplay which we plan on doing. But I just wasn’t sure if it was normal or not to experience these symptoms for a couple days.
