My partner and I were talking about our past relationships and sti’s came up. He asked if I ever had one and I panicked and said no... but I did. I’m 28 now and I had chlamydia at 17, I got it from my first partner. Luckily I found out only like a month later and we both got treated. Since then I’ve never talked to anyone about it and left it in the past. Was I wrong? I feel like it doesn’t matter since it’s in the past but I don’t know

Why would you lie though? 
If it was in the past and supposedly doesn't matter, then why would you like in the first place? And why would you hesitate to confront him like 'hey, I panicked and got embarrassed earlier and lied. I actually had one when I was a teenager'? 
Ask yourself this- if he had lied to you, would you be upset at all? If so, you need to talk to him and tell him the truth. 
Previous infections may not matter to some, but they can matter to others. There's a difference between wanting to know for informational purposes, and for judgement. If he's not going to be judging you for it, I don't see a reason to hide it (and if he does judge, why be with him anyway)

I get why you lied. Until there’s no stigma surrounding sti’s I can see why in a panic you’d say no. You don’t know how he’d react. Even though it was years ago it can still be a sore subject if you feel shame over it. If you feel bad about the lying though, I’d sit him down and just explain the question caught you off guard and it’s not something you like to talk about, but you did get one once. Not really sure why it would be his business though if it was forever ago and you got treated
