Doctor follow up

So I'm curious, at my appointment on Friday my doctor told me they'd call me on monday with test results. I had an ultrasound for concerns about baby's growth as well as my glucose test. I use the online My Chart so I get messages from there but the messages I got were very vague and included the glucose results(just numbers) and a small description of baby's growth. (Which the tech kinda filled my in on during the ultrasound anyway). I never got a call from my doctor so I called this afternoon and the nurse told me that they didnt call because they sent it on My Chart. Anyone else's doctor so impersonal? I really don't like that they didn't call to explain things to me. The specialist I was seeing at the hospital for my ultrasound went into depth as to what the results were and what they meant and explained his level of concern/asked if I had any questions.. My doctor just wrote up a sentence and sent it to me saying how much she weighed and to keep my follow up ultrasound. I asked the nurse to make a note to call me regarding these things because I like to be able to discuss and make sure I understand the results. Anyone else's doctor just send vague notes on my chart and not call? It's so weird and impersonal to me. I don't like it.
