After surgery gifts

My boyfriend of 3 years is getting a surgery soon on his neck and shoulder. I'll be taking him to the hospital and bringing him back home. (We live together). I'm not sure if I'll be able to be in the hospital with him but I'll stay in the parking lot. He's very nervous/scared about the surgery. I want to get him a little gift after he gets out of surgery to make him feel better while he rests and recovers. I was thinking about getting a get well card with a hand written note inside and his favorite candy. What else should I get him or do you think that's enough?

Update: Thank y'all for the comments! I plan to get him a card, his favorite candy, a pillow, and possibly a new video. Hopefully those items will keep him busy and comfortable with he recovers. ☺️
