Again... not the best ending so please don’t read if you’re not interested in an ending that’s upsetting. I’m not sure where else to post this. Today I went in for an in person appointment with my OB. I’m supposed to be 11+5. She wasn’t able to pick up the heartbeat in office so sent me over to get an ultrasound at the hospital just to check and she didn’t want me worried. I waited over an hour and almost had an accident while waiting. Luckily they let me use the bathroom while waiting. So I finally went back and she kept quickly going over the baby. And saying “I’m just going to get some uterus pictures first”. Usually they show me the baby first and then do uterus pictures before going back to keep the baby in view. I could see my baby flashing on the screen but I saw no fluttering which I usually would see because of the heartbeat. I knew something was off. She quickly flashed over the baby again and then told me “I’m sorry your baby stopped growing a couple weeks ago. I’ll go get the doctor and they’ll be in to talk to you”. I just can’t believe it’s true. She was flashing over the baby so quickly and not even staying on it for a long time. Can they really pick it up that quickly ? She said it measured in the 9th week and there was no heartbeat detected. But she barely stayed over the baby more than a couple seconds. I’m just at such a loss as for what to do. And now they’re telling me I need to make a decision on how to remove the baby. I have three options and how am I supposed to even know what to do in a situation like this. What have others who experienced this done?
