Reasonable to request refund?
I'm planning to ask my wedding photographer for a partial refund. She has already been paid in full for taking the photos and designing/printing the albums (two albums, two copies of each).
One of the albums has been printed already and it is awful. It consists of guest group photos and some are nice and bright while other photos look grey. They were taken against the same indoor backdrop so I don't know what happened. I requested the original photos and they are the same - no amount of playing with photo editing software gets them to be consistent.
I don't want to bother printing the other album because of this. 🤷🏽♀️ I'm planning to ask her to refund ONLY the album printing costs for the remaining two copies. This means she can keep all her time and labour charges, as well as the printing and handling for the copies that were already printed.
My logic is, she loses no money because that amount was going straight to the printing press anyway. Is that unreasonable?
