Measuring Ahead?

So from the beginning of my pregnancy I always thought I was 2 weeks ahead but I trusted that my doctors knew more than me. Duh! 😂 then my baby was measuring almost 3 weeks ahead a few months ago but they said he would probably even out. Now him and my uterus is measuring 32 weeks (I’m supposed to be 27w4d) so they’re scheduling an ultrasound to check him out and possible reset my due date... has this happened to anyone?

Your first ultrasound determines the gestational age. After that, the term "measuring ahead"is misleading. It just means your baby is larger than average. It does not change the baby's gestational age, lung development growth etc. My dr doesn't use that term because he says it misleads people to think that the due date is different or they'll deliver earlier, which isn't true. Your baby is the average size of a baby 3 weeks older than yours. ....your baby is larger than the average baby, but not "measuring ahead".

Yep. I measured 2-3 weeks a head my whole pregnancy. Even on a growth scan and They never reset my due date and just said I was gonna have a big baby. They estimated a birth weight of 8lbs+. On my my scans they estimated my due date to be March 22nd. They never changed my due date from the original scan which said April 2nd. I gave birth on March 26th and my baby was only 7lbs.
