Newborn and cats

I am due in 8weeks and I need advice on my cats feeding schedule.

I have 2 cats who I currently meal feed- 5ish am for breakfast and then 6pm for dinner.

I have to meal feed them in separate rooms because my one cat is fast and will eat the others food.

My issue is, my fast cat will cry and cry until he is fed in the morning which is annoying- I’ve tried alarms and ignoring him til he’s quiet but nothing works. He gets earlier every day and will even throw himself against doors and walls to get our attention. It’s a problem.

I know as a sleep deprived mother it’s going to cause me to snap.. and it will also wake the baby.

Does anyone have any insight on how I can train him before baby comes? I tried to train him to free feed by giving him small meals throughout the day (since I’m working from home) but it isn’t working.. idk want to do ugh

Any advice helps- unless you are going to say to get rid of the cats... that isn’t happening
