Giving birth alone (by choice)
Long story short, I don’t want my husband there the second time around. He wasn’t supportive during my first birth and hasn’t been supportive during this pregnancy. This is my second high risk pregnancy and being 38 weeks pregnant you would think he would be a little more helpful but no. I thought long and hard and I’m sure that I don’t want him there. We haven’t even been sleeping in the same room at night for the past few days and hardly talk except when it’s about our 2 year old.
Has anyone given birth alone? Any advice or stories? And no I don’t want any family or friends there and it isn’t an option considering I’m overseas 7,000 miles from the states. I have a strong mindset that I can do it by myself as that’s basically how it felt the first time I gave birth. Please don’t tell me to change my mind as it’s my birth and I want it to be as stress free as possible. Thank you!
