Covid and labor

I've recently heard that all moms in labor have to be tested for covid but I really dont want a swab in my brain while in labor lol anybody know if this is true in canada? Also what are some restrictions you know of? I know my hospital isn't allowing visitors, 1 support person who can't leave at all, we aren't allowed any blankets or pillows from home, only hard covered suit cases, no food or drinks from home for the support person or mom. You can only buy food from the cafeteria (which is ridiculous. How are we supposed to afford that?!)
