Membrane sweep ?

When did your doctors do a membrane sweep on you ? I’ll be 38 weeks my next appointment and wondering if doctors do them then or make you wait until 39 weeks . What’s your experience with them ? Never had it with my first .

My doctor only does them at 39 weeks, I do believe it sent me into labor with my 2nd baby. I had no issues, my water broke 2 days after the sweep.

Had 1 at 40 weeks with my first, went into labor next morning. But that could have been because I was 40 weeks...

I had one last Tuesday- no MP or labor, but it also didn’t hurt much.

I had a great experience. I got one at 37.5 and was in active labor 12 hours later. It was uncomfortable but it worked because my body was ready. :)

Extreme pain. Ended up in sepsis shock from chorio. I’d research the risks to it. Don’t go in blindly like I did
