Cosleeping with 1 year old

I'm a new mom and I just started cosleeping with my son when he was around 6 months because he kept sleep crawling and would wake himself up and so i started to let him sleep with us and now he is a year and he is starting to take naps on the couch yes i make it completely safe and im always next to him but he refuses him crib its almost like he just does not like it...i don't want to put him in a place he doesn't feel comfortable qnd he is really my security blanket (dont mom shame me) I know he is safe when he is near me im not going to be like letting him sleep in our bed till he is in school but if he doesn't like his crib what should I do? Do you think we should do a toddler bed but just baby proof it more
