My dads girlfriend...

My dad is getting older and has always been a single dad, so I was happy for him when he found a girlfriend. She seemed nice and she treated us well up until like a few months ago...

She started drinking again (after being 4 years sober- red flag) and then AFTER she started drinking she decided to let my dad know that she had only been sober because she was previously an alcoholic. Well, she got back into her alcoholic ways. Her family completely dropped her and didn’t try and help at all, her own sons tried to drink her under the table.

So we stayed, and we helped. Once she was sober again after like a month, she decided she was responsible enough to drink safely. Boy was she wrong. She did start only drinking on weekends and was good about it, but she would get mean when she was drunk. Somehow when she wasn’t with us she got herself into a hospital, where she had to stay for 3 days because of alcohol poisoning.

She comes back, and then decides to start drinking again.

At this point I had decided to check out, I’m 15, its not my business.

Until one day she gets so drunk that she has a complete temper tantrum- yes, temper tantrum- over a steak that I cooked that was more medium than medium rare. She started throwing things, screaming, calling my family trailer trash (we live in a mobile home park...), and saying that we were all horrible disgusting people. My dad took her home, and she jumped out of the car as soon as they got to her house, except she stole my dads favorite hat AND his phone (he didn’t notice that because the Bluetooth was still connected and playing music)

Fast foreword to now. She apologized and said that she was in a bad place cause her favorite kid was mad at her and not talking to her, and she was taking that pain out on us.

She was black out drunk when she stole my dads things. My dad is an insurance salesman, so he had LOTS of peoples Personal information on his phone. He needed it back. But she flipped out again when he told her that she stole it, even tho we tracked the phone and it was literally at her house. It died before we could play a sound to find it.

She stole 15 years worth of family photos that hadn’t been backed up and she stole hundreds of peoples personal info.

Not to mention a $1700 phone....

Now apparently they’re “working things out” but ive lost all respect for her.

She has a sickness that she refuses to treat. And he pities her, so he’s giving her another chance.

I think it’s all bullshit.
