I had a planned home birth and my midwife swept my membranes on my due datebecause she believed that the baby may have been big. the next day I started having consistent contractions that were about 12 minutes apart around noon they got down to about eight minutes apart, before feeling pretty intense, at which point I got in my bathtub. I call my midwife and had my older kids and my husband to set up the birthing pool. My contractions went from 8 minutes to 4 minutes apart and I started feeling the urge to push. Before I knew it I was yelling for my husband to come help me deliver the baby in our bathroom. My best friend walked in as I began to push and recorded the delivery. About 2 minutes after my daughter was born the midwife rung my doorbell. 5:30pm 9lbs 13oz and 23 in. We're both happy and healthy!
