Reason for c section?

So I’m due a section in 2 weeks time from today ... I feel like such a failure 😓 I don’t no why because I don’t feel it’s any easier having a c section than a natural birth ... I had an emergency section with my little girl and terrified me ever having more kids ... I then got pregnant and choose c section myself .. I have a very thin lower segment but doc said I could still try vbac but still runs the risk of an emergency section ... with my daughter I was out to sleep so I didn’t get to hold her first or hear her first cry ! This time I just wanted it to be all under control and I feel like people look at me like I’m “taking the easy way out “ 😞 did anyone else have these feelings

Most women I know try for a VBAC as they know c-sections are definitely not the easy option. C-sections mean you cannot do any lifting and driving for at least 6 weeks. Moving and walking is painful for weeks and the risk of infections and complications are higher than vaginal birth. The thought that c-sections are the easy option is definitely outdated and I've never come across anyone who has said that.
Ive had 2 sections and im due my 3rd Nov. Ive never thought having a section was the easier option.
My 1st baby was an emergency section and it was so incredibly scary.
 My 2nd was supposed to be a VBAC but i didn't dilate at all and baby got distressed so I opted for a section after 12hrs on the hormone drip. This section was alot calmer than my 1st. Recovery was easier but still hard when you have a 17 month and a newborn to care for.
My 3rd will be a planned section and im excited as it will make planning childcare easier as we'll have a set date to work to. I have a 2.5yr old, a 13 month and a newborn. Having a section is not ideal as it will be tough juggling 3 very young kids but I definitely dont think im a failure for having sections. You shouldn't either. Birth is just the 1st step of being a parent. How you give birth doesn't define you as a mother, dont let it wreak havoc with your self worth as it is totally out of your control xxxxx

This is my first c section as I can’t deliver vaginally for medical reasons and I don’t think it’s the easy way out. Recovering from surgery sucks as I had many in the past. This will probably be the second worst surgery for me. I’m not looking forward to recovery but my mom had a c section as well with me and she said she had a pretty easy recovery so hopefully it’s the same for me. Lol

I will admit there was a time when I thought csections were the easy way out. That was until I had one myself and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done!! They are not easy!! At the same time I know the pain the slice across my belly has caused me and I can’t imagine feeling that in my lady bits so I have mad respect for women who deliver vaginally!!! My csection was emergency due to failure to progress. My little buddy had his ear tucked to his shoulder and no one bothered to check his position - until I’d been in an induced labor for 48 hours. He was also a big ol boy and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been able to deliver him on my own anyways. Now having had a csection I think I would opt for a second, I don’t think I will even try for Vbac. I know my nerves will get to me going in fully coherent to a csection, and as much as I think it will be nice just to walk in to the hospital and have them remove the baby from me with little effort from me I know the recovery is not an easy thing!!

I induced, pushed for 3 hours and then ended up in a c-section because baby was not descending properly. I cried so hard when my OB said I needed a c-section after pushing. She told me my pelvic bone wasn’t opening wide enough for him to fit through. She then told me at my first postpartum checkup that I’m probably never going to be able to deliver vaginally. She said it was nothing I did wrong as I can’t control my pelvic bone. But I felt like I failed, plus a vaginal delivery has a much easier recovery compared to a c-section. Now I developed a blood clot in my leg from my surgery and lying in bed. I’m on twice daily injections, and my OB said I’m going to be on them for the next 3 months and if I decide to get pregnant again I’ll have to be on them for the whole pregnancy. I’ve been really down about it.

I never considered a VBAC for my second...
My first and second were only 15 months apart. My first was huge bc of her dads genetics lol and I knew what to expect with a c-section. And I was fearful of having an emergency c-section. I was told due to certain things that if I went for a vaginal birth that there would be a pretty low tolerance if things started to get concerning. And I would rather have a c-section than go through hours of labor end up with an emergency c-section and potentially not see my baby for awhile or not remember their birth. 
It was my decision. I don’t regret it. And if anyone thought poorly of me for it no one told me.

I just had my vbac Tuesday. I actually felt like I got so many more comments from people about why I wouldn’t want to just repeat the csection. I felt judged for wanting a vbac. Unfortunately I think this is mom life. No matter what you do, people are going to judge you. 
You just have to look at everything and make the best decision for you. Now that I’ve had both there are def “easier” parts of a vbac but also “easier” parts of a csection. Ultimately, choose what’s best for you

I definitely felt the same. But I kept thinking "this is what's best for my baby, no matter what I may think is best for me." my first baby got stuck in my pelvis and I caused a wound on her head and ended up with an emergency c-section. They said my next baby would have to be a c-section as well, since my pelvis is just too small to deliver vaginally. But then with my second, I went into labor at 33 weeks, and her weight was estimated to be just 4 lbs 5 oz, so they said I could do a vbac instead since she was small, but of course, I'd run the risk of needing another c-section anyways. I was so scared that I'd hurt my baby again by delivering vaginally, and I didn't want to do that again. So I opted for the c-section. (plus, tbh, I was already having trouble processing that I was going to have a preemie and she'll have to go straight to the nicu after, that labor would be hard for me to focus through, and lead to me hurting her or something) sometimes I regret not trying a vbac, but it went well and I didn't have to risk hurting her like I did the first time with my first babe.

Uh what lol c sections are hell and definitely not the easy way out. I want a vbac bc it is easier than major surgery. :-/
