Mt son actually has the same thing right now. Same side of his head all tho he had like 4 or 5 there and he had 2 on his back and he has a couple on each elbow  ive been switching between calamine lotion and cortisone cream trying to see if anything takes it away  im not exactly sure what it is but the ones on his face are basically gone now after putting stuff on it for the last few days

Looks like every time my kids have had hand foot and mouth to me personally but every kid reacts differently. My oldest had chicken pox and it was similar except it crusted over and itched
