Dental work while breastfeeding

I have a dentist appointment tmrw finally after them being closed for Covid. I am either getting a root canal or tooth extraction whatever they can do for me.
Is this safe while breastfeeding? Any tips if you had this done while breastfeeding? Any moms have alternatives to taking antibiotics? My baby is sensitive to antibiotics I don’t want either us or to end up with thrush or her stomach upset.
