help :( advice? am i overreacting?

hi everyone!

so my doctor asked me for drinks, in my appointment and it kinda ended awkwardly. which sucks, bc he’s so handsome and we click so well, i just got nervous. so i had a second appointment with him 6 months later, so i wanted him to ask again! & he did! he said it along the lines of “i wish there was a keg in here” haha. so that was my very last appointment with him, since he’s only a specialist. i was hesitant to ask for his info in my appointment so i sent him a message through the health portal app, to text me. which he did! he texted me and we talked for the day. he seemed really interested and even sent pics. which now leaves me confused, because he left me on READ! we only texted that same day he sent me the first text. around 11pm, he didn’t reply or say goodnight - “talk to you later” or anything! it’s been about 3 weeks and i haven’t heard from him. i want to keep talking to him and hopefully go out for drinks with him. i mean, he’s the one who asked me! .. not in one appointment but 2! & now he has my number but has only texted me that day, and then didn’t respond. i know it was probably late, blah blah. we do have quite an age gap and he has kids. but, i don’t know? i think, if he considered any of that in the first place, he would’ve never asked me for drinks or even text me. it’s just drinks! not marriage and kids! should i text him, “hi! i saw this and thought of you! hope you’re well!”

also, with everything going on in the world with covid-19, maybe he’s waiting? or am i being naive?

advice pls??
