Background check- education

I've applied for a job that said post secondary education in the requirements. However they are interviewing me for a higher level position that requires a bachelor's degree. I have 12+ years of relevant industry experience However I did not complete my bachelor's degree. I did go to university Just didn't finish due to some personal reasons and life events.

My question is whats defined as post secondary? Also if I have an employee referral and 12 years related experience do you think they'd verify my education background? Also I now live in a different country than where I attended school. This is at a large professional company. I'm confident I'll do well in my 2nd interview and if necessary can provide great employee referrals but I'm worried if they will verify the education. I know this company is growing and hiring as well in this department
