Tongue and lip tie at 1 year?

Question

Did anyone get their baby’s tongue and/or lip tie cut after turning a year old? I’m afraid that my son’s is too close. He can barely stick his tongue out which means speech problems and I know the lip tie can cause problems with teeth leaving it gapped. And if they got braces later they even cut it then as well(I know this cause it happened to my sister)
Did you get them done after a year old and how did they react?
How was their healing?

My pediatrician likes to wait until 2 to reassess and then she will send us to ENT specialist (prefers ENT compared to a dentist). If ENT thinks we should clip it then she will go to children’s hospital day surgery to have it done.

I am not having my sons cut he’s a year and a half now but we did see a specialist for it and they said after a year they put them under to do . So you would more or less have a out patient surgery so to speak. So the first day may be a bit rough but other wise shouldn’t be much different afterwards then what it would normally be
