Looking into apartments, does this one sound good?

Need opinions! I’m finally moving out and think have found the perfect place! It’s a 2 bedroom 2bathroom apartment for $1375 the utilities I am responsible for are gas, electric, water & trash. The place is gorgeous but my mom keeps telling me it’s way too expensive any opinions?

No one can tell you. In LA, that could be a good price. While in rural Kansas, that could be insanely high. 
So to start, how does that compare to other apartment price ranges where you live? 
Do you NEED 2 bedrooms? 
What percent of your income would go to housing and housing costs? 
Im a fan of getting the cheapest safe apartment possible. When you're renting, you're paying someone else's mortgage. It's not an investment for YOU. So rent cheap, save the extra money, and work towards getting your own house where the money you're spending is actually going somewhere that will benefit yourself

That is pricey for an apt if u ask me as a single person. Thats a mortgage. Even if u make good money.... keep it in your pocket instead of paying someone elses mortgage. Id keep looking and mom is probably right! You also need to ask yourself if you get laid off can u afford this and the bills for 6-7 months. We are in a shaken economy globally and there hve been talks of recession etc.

As long as it's no more than 1/3rd of your monthly income, it's okay. I feel it's pricey, but I live in a low cost of living state

If you can afford it then it’s your decision. I’m in Texas and that’s honestly so much. I live in a 1b/1ba with my bf and it’s $575 for rent. And I was looking into upgrading to a 2b/2ba for $650 for the meantime so save up to find a better place since we don’t want to stay here forever especially with baby on the way.

I don’t live on my own yet so I don’t know much but I definitely think that’s VERY high. But it also depends on where you live? If you live in New York or LA Or something then that makes sense but if you live in the middle of nowhere in like Texas than Nope don’t rent that place.
