Teachers

I teach high school in Ohio and our school is asking for doctor letter stating if you are high risk and they will do their best to allow work from home for those teachers. Our schools are really pushing to open with all students full time however no final decisions have been made.

Our school starts after Labor Day and I’m due before then so not going back to work. But after maternity leave, it may be risky to return to work (November) cautious of bringing home Covid or Flu to a newborn. My Dr says it’s my Pediatrician’s decision whether I should return to work in the classroom. I called my pediatrician and they said they can’t do/say anything until baby is here... which is too late for my school to make a decision to get me out of the classroom (need in August with union).

Are you returning to work in the classroom? Worried?
