getting the iud removed!

so i have the mirena iud and have had it in for almost 2 years now and honestly im surprised i havent gone to get it removed sooner. ive just has a shitty experience with it and im flat out tired of it. yeah not having a period in over a year and not getting pregnant was nice but the pros definitely do not out weigh the cons for me.

so what should i expect? can i use a tampon or does it have to be a pad for a few days if i have withdrawl bleed? what are the few weeks following gonna be like? etc
