Hello Fresh! Is it worth it??

I think I really want to try hello fresh. The meals seem so balanced and healthy which I think would be really good for my 1 year old daughter. I’m terrible at coming up with and cooking healthy dinners. I hate grocery shopping for full meals with my whole soul. And I get really overwhelmed when recipes call for a ton of ingredients. Food I buy ends up going bad all the time and my husband will NOT eat left overs, very rarely does he. I work full time, in college part time and have a 1 year old. So we end up eating out a lot. I was thinking of getting the vegetarian plan and buying my own meat. This will introduce new healthy meals in my house. Anybody have any experience with this?

I think it’s worth it. They have quite a few meals to choose from too.

They totally are if you can get a coupon like the $20 off per box for four weeks. If you cancel they try to get you back so they give you more coupons I ended up getting weekly meals for around $30 a week for about 12 weeks and I highly recommend it especially because the recipes are easy to re-create

I did it for a while with my partner and found that I was missing ingredients quite often and it was quite expensive but I guess it's good to try for a month or two then just keep the recipe cards and buy the stuff for it. It let's you explore new options plus saves time shopping although cooking time is quite a bit especially when you work a lot.

Been getting it for a couple months now and love it, even the meat in it is pretty decent. My husband is loving eating more then chicken and pasta and rice 😅

Tried it. Expensive and I can’t justify all that waste going into the landfills. So now I just cook from scratch, even though it’s easy stuff.

I liked it be they don't offer low carb options. Every Plate is a cheaper sub if you don't need low carb.We are using Green Chef and they are really good plus have various meal plans for different dietary needs.

I ordered it once. The recipes were REALLY good and it was convenient having all the ingredients. But WAAAAAAAY overpriced for the amount of food you get. For that reason I cancelled it after the first order.

It really costs the same as ordering food from a restaurant. My family has done it short-term on a couple of occasions but I wouldn’t do it for more than a couple of weeks. Also - a lot of recipes that we got had mayonnaise in them and I really hate mayo. I much prefer the recipes from Blue Apron.

Yes, they are amazing!!! Restaurant quality meals, fresh ingredients, and easy to follow recipes. Also gives us a chance to try new ingredients we don't usually use. Lots of recipes we make on our own now, but still get 3 meals a week and look forward to them!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We looked in to it when baby was born as we were in the middle of a wide spread measles outbreak and didn't wanna grocery shopping for safety. We got a 2 week free promo code. The recipes were easy but the ingredients were not great and a few in each box came unusable. One was for lasagna roll ups...the lasagna sheets were the soft pre cooked ones. They were do dried out they had cracked apart. The meats in both boxes were not sealed right and the 1st box was flat out missing one ingredient. When we looked at cost also it is expensive for what you are getting weekly. Honestly we laughed when we saw price to quality. We did try Blue Apron for a few weeks and while a bit more expensive we had a much better experience. Better food, more interesting recipes, and only 1 messed up box...a meat sauce pasta and the meat was not put in haha. I would say maybe try it but defiantly find a code for a trial first to check it out. We did with 3 meal box kits and happy we didn't waste all that money on bad boxes while feeling it out. Good luck and hope it works out for you!!
