Has anyone safely lost weight during their first and second trimester?

I have gestational diabetes found out around 2nd trimester. My doctor put me on a diabetic diet. Its healthy. And as ling as baby grows then losing weight is fine as ling as you dont lose too much too fast. So talk to your doctor. You dont want baby to lose nutrients.

I lost weight at first then just didn’t gain anymore the rest of my pregnancy. I worked out safely and ate healthy fruits veggies and meat! I made sure I was still eating plenty. So after I had the babe my weight was like 25 lbs lower than when I got pregnant. But I will say I was over 200 lbs.

I had pre existing diabetes so I really cracked down on my diet( I lost 25 pounds all together but I started at 200 so my doctor wasn’t concerned at all ) plus I was really sick 🤢during my 1 st trimester so I was eating very light . Honestly most women really should freak out if they lost a few pounds during pregnancy ... your body is working overtime to take care of baby.
