When will that special question happen?

I have been with my SO for 6 years we have talked about getting married but I feel like it's taking forever. He keeps telling me that I deserve a big ring and that he wants to save money for it and that's why he hasn't done it we live together and he is not saving a dime. I've told him that honestly he can go to walmart and get a really nice cheap one I am not the one to want something expensive. We have 3 kids so maybe we're just busy with life you know but I want to be a wife not a gf for life. If you're married or engaged how long did you have to wait until you got proposed too? How long is toooooo long to be like " yea girl he's just dragging it cause he really doesn't want to". If it took many years did you feel like he was doing it because he felt pressured or because he really wanted to get married? Please don't ignore my post thank you.

maybe he’s nervous lol but if you have three kids together, i wouldn’t think that he doesn’t want to marry you, kids are more of a responsibility than being married IMO

you pretty much sit down an give him a time limit of when you want to get married otherwise you're wasting your time. By the second year he should have known if he wanted to marry you.pretty much from an outsider's point he's making you waste your life it's going to be like 30 years by the time he probably does something unless you put your foot down.I gave my husband two years from the time we started dating to propose and we got married two years later.

My husband proposed 3 weeks into dating long distance and 5 weeks since we had started talking (we were over 1,000 apart and visited each other once in those five weeks). I then married him the next time I visited him which was a month and a half later. No ring, no big wedding (courthouse), none of that. When you know, you know. You don’t make up excuses. We’ve been married for 7 years now.

I got with my husband at 16. He proposed 7 years and two kids later. But he was hesitant because I always said marriage is just paper and I didn’t believe in it. Which is totally true IMO. But I knew he wanted to get married someday and we always talked about it so once he felt confident enough he finally asked. He told me he was so nervous that I would say no though and that’s why he kept waiting 😂 We just eloped 3 weeks ago after being together for 9 years. ☺️

My fiancé proposed after being together 9 years. He always told me the same thing, he wanted to wait until he could get me the ring I really wanted. Well for a year every time we would go shopping I’d take him to jewelry stores and stuff to look at rings and he would say not yet babe. Well he secretly had already bought me a ring and had it hidden in his office at our house and had a proposal all planned out for when we went to the beach with my family for vacation. My mom, dad, and both brothers knew about it and they all hid it from me for a year. It was amazing and I’m so glad I didn’t have a clue.
