TTC Ovulation test

Okay so long story short I stopped taking my bc (Yasmin , the pill) almost 3 weeks ago. I’ve been on BC for about 8 years. My boyfriend and i are trying to conceive, and about a week after stopping my pill I had one day of very dark blood. (I haven’t had a period in over year due to Yasmin.) still no period yet, started taking ovulation tests which I’ve never done. Does anyone know how close to ovulation I am based off this test? Will I ovulate without a period? Please help. I have a preconception OB appointment on the 24th.
