CRIB OR PLAYYARD

Question

guys what’s better ? Initially I thought a crib would be better because majority of cribs are made to grow with the child. but idk (how long can a baby last if I bought a playyard)

Play yard or pack and play is fine. My nephew never had a crib at his moms house or ours and just had a pack and play - it worked out great. When he was old enough we just transitioned him to a toddler bed.

We have both.  The pack n play has been her bed in our room until she'll be old enough to sleep on her own (in Canada they recommend to have the baby sleep in the same room as you for the 1st 6 months). We also use it as hee crib while traveling and will continue that until she is in a normal bed.

I used this little playard from birth until 6 months old. When she turned 6 months she went to her crib in her own room. I loved it. It has a newborn insert that sits great beside the bed. And there are newer versions that have another insert layer for when they are like 4 months. I had her without the insert and she slept just fine in the playard. I moved her because she slept much better in her own room. I kept it until she outgrew it and got a bigger one. Which we now keep to contain her in the kitchen.

You won’t believe this but my daughter has been in her pack n play since 8 months till now that she’s 2 years and 9 months... she has her bed but always cries and I end up putting her down again in her playard 😩

A play yard or pack and play is equally as good as a crib. We have a crib but the pack and play has been essential when we travel. My daughter is 18 months old and still fits in the pack and play to sleep

I’m wondering too but my FIL is getting us a crib and my s/o and I are just gonna get a play yard to have in our bedroom for the first few months and then switch baby to the crib.
