When should I start my pill

Question

So I’m new to the pill my doctor said start it on the first day of your period unexpectedly my period came three days early I’m at work and don’t have the pill with me would it be okay if I take the pill when I get home from work or do you have to start the pill as soon as your period starts ?

It should be within the same day, pick a time you find convenient for your schedule. If you (let's say) got your period Monday at work around 9am, you can start it anytime during that day. Just find a time that you can stick to EVERYDAY. It doesn't matter if it's 9am, 2pm or 10pm, just take the first pill that Monday and continue taking it everyday at the same time (30minutes +/- is also considered the same time).
I take mine at 9pm because I'm always at home at that time, but it's different for everyone. Your doctor told you to take it when you first start your period, as in day. The first day you start your period. Not the second you get it. Make sure you find a time during the day that works best for you.
