Im 26 and have a daughter who is almost 2. I was thinking about going back to school to get my masters degree. I also work full time, so that means I wont spend as much time with her as I want to. I wanna do it now that I only have one child (I want more babies). I was also considering wait until she is ready to go to school (about 3 years). She would be busy with her own activities and I could use that time to go to school too. I dont wanna be selfish just thinking about my career and miss that beautiful time with her.
Whats your experience going to school with kids?

There’s never the right or wrong time for anything, along with there’s no time criteria for any age! I think you should go for it now, especially since you say you want more babies. Life is always gonna get in the way, so why not now! You got this mama!

I started my Masters but had to stop due to health issues. It was tough as I also work full time. I’d love to finish but I’m waiting until our baby stage is over (I’m pregnant now with our second and last). When the kids are older, I’ll go back and finish.

I say do it now, even if it means you take longer to finish. I don’t have kids, but I’m about to get into Grad school now instead of putting it off.

My husband and I are both in school. He’s working on his bachelors and I’m working on my masters. We also both work full time. He works outside the home and I’m self employed. We have two kids. None of this takes away from our parenting in any way. It’s not like I’m sitting around glued to a textbook all day. I’m a mom first and foremost. And I have a 4.0 GPA so school isn’t suffering either by me putting our kids first. It’s absolutely doable to do it all.

It totally depends on your situation and how you feel about it. Would you be constantly worrying about your child to the point it hinders your education? If the answer is anything other than 100% no, then wait.

As somebody who waited to go to school, there is ALWAYS a reason to put it off. You will always find an excuse. If you have the motivation now then DO IT. I waited after graduating HS to go to college. My plan was a year. One year turned into three. Then when I got my BS, I wanted time off before getting my masters. A little time turned into four years. 
Also, as someone who values her time, look into capella university or western governers university and see if they have the program you want. It’s fully online and 100% accredited. You can go at your own pace. Some classes I was able to complete all the assignments and finish the class in just a few weeks. Others took longer, but because I was able to go at my pace and not the pace of an instructor I finished my masters degree start to finish at capella university in just over 8 months. Also because you’re finishing faster you pay less, you dont pay for credits, you pay for time spent so if you aren’t enrolled for two years you aren’t laying as much. My masters degree was only like $8,000 which I was able to have my work pay for 100% through tuition reimbursement.

I'm 26 with a 5yo. He is now starting 1st grade but still it's hard. I waited until he started kindergarten though so that i had more time to focus. All about balance. I dont go full-time. I'm going for ADN. Start small, work, have them pay for BSN, repeat for MDN.
