Please help

So let me start by saying that I am on birth control and I use the nexplanon implant. So I’m freaking out because my nipples are starting to get a little sore. They have done this once before like 8 months ago but it ended up being nothing. My boyfriend and I use condoms when we have sex and he pulls out with the condom on. I check the condom with water every time after we have sex, and the condom has never leaked when I checked it with water. Should I be freaking out or could this just be a random side effect of my birth control?
