Toddler leash anyone?

Does anyone use those leashes on backpacks etc? I’m thinking of using one because my little guy is so quick but always wants to walk when I take him out without holding my hand !!!

I might be the odd one out here, but I feel like toddler leashes are disrespectful 🤷‍♀️ no shane for those who use them, but i personally could never, and I have a runner too 🥴

At first, I wasn’t. But considering the place in time that we are in where child/human trafficking is too real and being exposed at the rate that it is, yes I will— I want to have him as close to me as possible. My husband was against it at first, and understandably so cause so I. Our thought was like it’s easy to “just run after” your children. But now, we have two and our 16 month loves to run goes everywhere and sometimes refuses to be in his stroller. We are opting to use it in areas where traffic will be congested (Zoo, theme parks, large events) (assuming that corona opens everything up)

We have one (hand me down from my cousin)... we have used it a few times and it is amazing!!! My son is a runner. It’s necessary to go in public (esp w covid). We used it at the zoo, a petting zoo, a small amusement park, etc. it really allows us to let him stretch his legs but also keep him close to us and 6 ft from others.

My son loves his. I only really have the strap on when we are next to roads are if anything could harm in. Normally just tuck the strap in the little bag

We have one... just have her wearing the back pack for now to get her comfortable and if needed, will put the tether on.

No, I just make her hold my hand and put her back in the stroller if she won't lol. She gets mad but oh well. I understand people using them though for fear of kidnapping or if you have a toddler who's really good at running. Mine isn't yet 😂

No. I always hated them until I became a mom. Now I dont judge lol. But I only have 1 child. He is a wild child and a handful but he is only one littlw human and I can hold his hand or use my mom voice to keep him close. 
I would consider it for sure if I had 3 or more children. Or possibly even 2 young children and we were at a busy place like Disney. But due to covid, neither is a concern.

Not for my son. I did with my daughters though. Human trafficking is an issue in our area, and I mostly used it with my oldest. She would just take off. She LOVED her leash, which was good because her sister was born when she was 18 months, and she wouldn’t stay with me. Hahahaha Be prepared, everyone thinks they know what’s right for your family, and people have strong opinions about these things. BUT people who feel that way have never had their two year old take off in a busy place and think it’s hilarious as you try to dodge the crowds with an infant to get to them. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Nope. We hold his hand or if he throws a fit about it we pick him up or put him in the stroller.
When we were on vacation, we went on an excursion and there was a family who had their toddler on a leash. I don't want to get into details but it was horrible, and the parents were horrible. We were like 70% sure we would never use one and after seeing that, we were 100% sure lol
