Hospital bag?

Hey ladies, what do you recommend packing in your hospital bag. I’m a FTM. I will be bottle feeding, my doctor told me already the formula to start with, I’m curious do I need to bring formula or will that be provided? & what kind of clothing should I pack for myself, I live in Illinois, it could be hot or it could be chilly around September 11th. Thanks mamas 🤗🤗🤗

I’m in Illinois as well. I’m bringing my post party support leggings a tank and a sweatshirt in case it’s at all chilly. I’m only bringing a coming home outfit in newborn and another in 0-3 incase one is too small. I’m also bringing one of his blankets for photos. 
Snacks, drinks, hard candies.
Phone, charger, camera. I brought my own pillow with my last and I’m so glad I had it
Face wipes, chapstick, hair brush, dry shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste

Call the hospital and see if they have the formula.  If they do use theirs and save money! 
The hospital will have everything for baby such as wipes, diapers, clothes.  I brought 3-4 cute outfits for my first and I ended up just using the hospital swaddle blankets for my baby to wear.  The nurses and doctors will come in to check on the baby so many times and most of the time they won’t redress and change them for you, so I found just a swaddle was easier.
Other things I am bringing: adult diapers, pacifiers, sound machine, extension cord, nursing tank tops, a robe.
I am not bringing any blankets or pillows because of COVID and when I got home I would just want to throw them out.
I am also not planning to shower while I’m there.  If I do want to, I will just use whatever soap they have.  Try to bring as little as possible.  You will just spend your time organizing your belongings in the suitcase when you should be resting.  It’s only a few days and you don’t need all the comforts of home, it’s a totally different ballgame when you get home anyways.  I  hope this helps, good luck!

For me, I am bringing my own robe, a pair of comfy pajamas (or two), slippers, socks, underwear, pads, nursing pads, & going home outfit. Last minute things, phone charger, toothbrush/toothpaste & maybe make up bag. I am going to bring my own pillow, just because I am having a c section & my pillow allows me to sit up comfortably and sleep. 
For my baby, I packed him two outfits, pacis,  socks, hand covers and a blanket :)

The hospital will provide formula, so no need to bring your own as long as it is the same kind.  
Outfit(s) for baby (for pictures and coming home)
Comfy pants/shorts for you to lounge in (I personally didn't wear the hospital gown after I was done giving birth)
Phone charger
Snacks
Sweatshirt
Your own pillow
Personal hygiene items
2 piece swimsuit (I labored in the shower and felt more comfortable not being totally naked)
Money (for vending machines)
Baby book 
Chapstick
Your own pacifiers if you have a preference on which ones you want to use

I’d check with your hospital what they provide for baby. I’m in Ontario and the two hospitals I’ve dealt with want you to bring your own diapers and stuff for baby. 
Lip chap, flip flops, comfy clothes, snacks, water bottle, pads, undies, scrunchie, minimal toiletries, long charging cable... cute outfit for baby going home (if that’s important to you). 
If you already know the formula you are using, maybe bring it so babe has the same stuff all the way along rather than something different in the hospital and then something different at home. And soothers too.

Comfy clothes for you. Pajama pants. Huge granny panties because hospital gives out the mesh ones and it doesn’t really hold a pad well. Also, if you might want to bring your own pads most hospitals don’t have pads with wings and that’s a game changer too. But with better underwear, it holds the hospital pad better too. Sports bras loose t shirts. Slippers. 
Hospital supplies diapers onesies blankets and formula for baby. Anything you might need they have there. An outfit for baby to go home in is really it.
