Paragard/The Copper IUD...🀞🏽🀞🏽🀞🏽

Chelsea β€’ Girl Gamer, Tech Junkie, Lover, Warrior Princess πŸ‘‘

Getting my copper IUD inserted today. This will be my second attempt at getting this one because my body expelled the first one so instead of trying again at the time, my doctor convinced me to try Skyla. Skyla worked well for me for a little under 3 years until it failed on me.

πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ *SN: would still recommend Skyla, just be aware of any changes towards the end of its lifespan, don’t be like me*

Excited to be protected again for the next 10 years, but somewhat nervous as I have not had total success with IUDs so far, but I trust it more than some other options.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

*Update: It has now been over 24 hours since my insertion and I have absolutely no severe pain 😁...hoping that’s a good sign. I found out I have a tilted uterus...whatever that means πŸ€”.

To help with the pain and insertion my doctor prescribed for me to take Misoprostol for 2 nights prior to help soften my cervix and I also took 2 Aleve or 440mg of Naproxen Sodium (NSAID) about an hour prior to insertion. I think that this really helped so if you are concerned with pain, especially if you haven’t given birth before, talk to your doctor to see if they can offer this to you.
