My dads birthday is August 16. I live at home and we are going to celebrate his birthday on the 15th and have a little pizza party. Well on the 17th I’m going on a weeklong vacation with my parents and I won’t get to see my boyfriend. Would it be wrong of me to celebrate my dads birthday on the 15th when we are having the party, and then see my boyfriend on his actual birthday so I can see him before our trip?

Why can’t you just see your bf on the 15th and have your dads party on the 16th? 
Or see him before the party?

I dont understand why you aren't celebrating your dads birthday on his birthday, its still on a weekend... I would see your bf on the 15th, dads birthday on the 16th. Or have your bf go to the birthday party.
