Toddler monitor?

Question

When did you take your baby monitor out of your child’s room or just stop using?? 
My SO says we should take it out now ( he’s 2.5 years) and use for baby instead of buying an additional camera. 
He rarely wakes up at night usually only if his monster truck falls out of bed 😂 and he can get out himself 🤷‍♀️

I use mine still for both my girls, 3 & 2. I feel as it’s a safety net when it comes to them being in there own room with the door shut. I like knowing they are safe & in bed while I’m in bed so me being able to see them through out the night makes me feel a million times better. I don’t know when I’d take out my cameras 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔 definitely not anytime soon.

I never had a camera one, but our sound one showed the temp in their room so I left it in our daughters room until our son was born (she was 2.5) then we moved it to his room. 
He’s 2 now, it’s still in his room, but only did the temp and a little night light on it. I’ve had the sound turned off for at least 6 months

I think it truly depends on the child and how they are! My aunt had one for one of my cousins until he was 5, but he is also on the autism spectrum and needed supervision for longer. My other little cousin is 2.5 and they just recently stopped using it. He’s very vocal when he’s awake, and his bedroom is really close to theirs so they don’t really have to worry about him.

My almost 4 year old likes having it, he says it makes him feel better that I can see him while he’s sleeping. Our baby is in the room too so that’s the main reason we still have it. With kids sharing a room I’ll probably keep it until they move out lol jk until they ask me to get rid of it.

My daughter is 3 and we still use it. She was a month shy of 3 when my son was born and we got a duel camera split screen on. I like being able to check on her without opening the door and possibly waking her up.

Our toddler’s camera sort of crapped out (can’t tell what’s blanket and what’s kid at night), so we wanted a new one that worked better for baby. But I’m also not ready to take the camera out. He’s just turned 2 and even though he sleeps through the night, I like to be able to check on him. He wakes almost immediately if we open the door so camera is our only option. We mostly use it for naps because he’s often not napping.
