Experiences moving to or living in other countries?

Question

My husband and I are strongly considering moving out of the US. We’re open to many places, but I just want to do more research from people who live in other countries, or who have moved from US to another country. We are obviously doing as much online research as possible, but I think hearing personal experiences would be beneficial as well. I have some questions if y’all would please share your input!
How is healthcare in your country? 
How is the cost of living there? 
What are the schools like there, and are there private schools and/or private co-op schools (half homeschool half private school)?
If you’ve had a baby in another country, how was your experience? 
How do you feel about your government system?

Live in Norway, well been living here all my life. 
Healthcare is free, unless you go private. There's also a max in how much you pay for prescription medicine each year. 
Cost of living depends on where you live, some cities are eat mre expensive than others, and if you live outside of the city the house prices fall drastically. Food is in general more expensive than in the US - but no hidden costs tax is always included in the prise and tipping isn't a thing here. 
Schools are free from preschool til university. There's some private schools like Steiner school and Montessori school, and in the bigger cities there's some other ones, but it's rare. 
Only had babies in Norway, and I have absolutely no complaints. Only thing I paid for was parking. But it's different from what you are used to from the US - it's mainly midwives in the hospital an obgyn is on call, way less "medical" than I see it described by many here.  We also have the best maternity leave system in the world. 49 weeks with 100% of your normal paycheck or 59 weeks with 80%. And the possibility to be on medical leave throughout the pregnancy if working and pregnancy is to tough or making it hard to work. 
Never experienced another political system but seems like we have more options for voting and a better system. Way less drama.

I moved to Canada 14 years ago.
 Cost of living really depends on where you live. I can only speak to BC and we don't call it bring cash for nothing. 
Healthcare is wonderful. I've never had to think twice about seeing a doctor. I've never seen a bill. I had both of my children here and the only thing we complain about is paying for parking at the hospital. Two c sections, private rooms, and two 48 hour stays without a single thought to the cost. 
There are several education options, regulations vary by province. My oldest is about to turn 5 and given the pandemic I've had to switch from planning on public school to homeschool. We're currently looking at distributed learning, which is home learning with support from qualified teachers. All fully funded by the ministry of education. 
Politically I'll take Canada over that cluster fuck south of the border any day.
