Shortness of breath and swollen feet after birth?

I gave birth on 8/13 and I've noticed that ever since when I get up from sitting or laying down and try to walk I have shortness of breath like I cant even talk....and I have also experienced swollen feet & ankles after birth (never during pregnancy) what could this be??? Anything to help with this?

Let your doctor know - some women get clots in their lungs, it would be horrible to not get it checked.
I did feel super exhausted though and needed to rest a lot to recover

I was told swelling after birth is normal and will get worse before it gets better. I had this happen and it was a couple weeks before I felt normal again but I also had swelling during pregnancy

Talk to your doctor. Some women experience a weakening of their heart for a bit after pregnancy

I have the swelling in my feet and calves too.. Doc said It will get worse before I gets better, it got worse and it’s slowly getting better now, I gave birth 13 days ago.
