CANT FEEL MY IUD STRING?

hey so i got my hormonal IUD fitted in February and have had no problems with it since. i’ve always checked the strings to make everything is fine so i don’t stress. they usually are curled up to the side near my cervix which is normal. but i just checked them as i haven’t checked them in a while and i can only feel the tip of the strings where they end and they are like in my cervix now. so i barely feel the string at all now as they’ve become so short and can only feel the end of them. should i be worried ? as i’ve read before if they seem shorter or longer are harder to find it may be a risk that it’s slipped out of place and not working? I’m only 17 and have been with my boyfriend since last November but i can not have a baby as i’m too young 🥺🥺 someone please give me some advise. i’m gonna ring my doctor in the morning.
